Trump Says Xi Denies Sending Weapons to Iran

President Donald Trump has said he directly asked Xi Jinping not to supply weapons to Iran, adding that the Chinese leader denied any such involvement.

In an interview with Fox Business, Trump claimed he had growing concerns after hearing reports that China might be providing military support to Iran

“I had heard that China’s giving weapons to Iran,” Trump said, suggesting that such claims were widely circulating.

In response, he said he sent a letter to Xi urging him to stop any possible arms transfers
According to Trump, Xi replied in writing and rejected the accusation.

“He wrote me a letter saying that essentially he’s not doing that,” Trump added
The exchange highlights rising concern over the role of global powers in the Middle East, especially at a time of heightened tension

If true, reports of arms transfers could signal a shift in alliances and deepen existing conflicts.

But if untrue, they raise another question: how much of the current narrative is driven by suspicion rather than verified facts?
Several US media outlets have reported that American intelligence agencies believed China was preparing to send advanced weaponry to Iran.

However, no official public evidence has been presented, and Beijing has not confirmed any such plans

The situation leaves room for uncertainty.

Are these early warnings based on credible intelligence, or are they part of a broader geopolitical struggle for influence? As global tensions rise, statements like these add pressure on already fragile international relations
For now, China’s official stance, as relayed by Trump, is clear—denial.

But with competing claims and limited transparency, the issue remains far from settled
