Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Political Assistant in the Office of the National Chairman, has issued a strong warning to the public over fake TikTok accounts using her name to scam unsuspecting Ugandans.
In a statement released through the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), officials revealed that several fraudulent accounts have been created, falsely claiming to represent Namyalo. These accounts reportedly promise financial support, scholarships, and other forms of assistance in order to trick people into sending money or personal information.
The office made it clear that Namyalo does not operate any TikTok account and has no immediate plans to join the platform. This clarification aims to stop the spread of misinformation and protect the public from falling victim to online scams.
“Members of the public are strongly advised to ignore any messages or offers from such accounts. Do not engage with them or send money to anyone claiming to act on behalf of SPA Hadijah Namyalo,” the statement emphasized.

Authorities say the scammers are deliberately targeting vulnerable individuals by exploiting trust in government-linked programs. By using the identity of a well-known public figure, fraudsters create a false sense of legitimacy, making it easier to deceive victims.
This incident reflects a wider and growing problem of digital impersonation, where criminals misuse the names and images of prominent leaders to commit fraud. As social media continues to expand, so do the tactics used by scammers to manipulate the public.
The ONC has urged citizens to remain alert, verify information through official channels, and report any suspicious accounts to relevant authorities. Efforts are also expected to increase in tracking down those behind these schemes and shutting down fraudulent profiles.
With online scams becoming more sophisticated, the message from authorities is clear: if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.
