Swangz Avenue artist Winnie Nwagi was recently involved in an altercation with a fan during a live performance, highlighting ongoing concerns about safety and respect for artists on stage.
The incident occurred while the singer was making her entrance for a night performance.
Just moments after stepping on stage, a rowdy fan reportedly attempted to forcefully kiss her, catching the performer off guard.
Known for her assertive stage presence, Nwagi reacted immediately by confronting the individual and striking him for what she described as disrespectful behavior.
Security personnel who were escorting her quickly intervened, pulling the fan away.
In the process, there were claims that the scuffle caused a wardrobe mishap, briefly exposing part of the singer’s outfit.
Following the incident, Nwagi took to her Snapchat account to express her frustration and disappointment over the behavior of some fans.
She stated that she felt violated and questioned how such individuals are allowed to get so close to performers without proper security checks.

“We had started with such good vibes, I’m even tired of using the microphone on disrespectful fans, It is so painful, but if you keep trying me, I won’t be able to hold back,” she said.
This is not the first time the singer has faced such incidents during performances.
Nwagi emphasized that she will not tolerate any form of disrespect from fans and called for stricter measures to ensure artist safety at events.
The incident has since sparked conversations within the entertainment industry about the need for better crowd control and stronger protection for performers during live shows.
